Marhabban ya Ramadan 2011
It's finally fasting in Ramadan again. My girls (for the first time ever) didn't have to go to school. Their school (Sekolah Rendah Desa Jasmin, Nilai, Negeri Sembilan) gave cuti for "awal Ramadan". Well, good for them. We just got back from Kota Kinabalu late on Saturday evening so just one day off on Sunday is probably not really sufficient to prepare them mentally and physically for Ramadan.
And me, I took one day off too on Monday 1st Ramadan because of tummy ache; both for me and Ikmal.
We chose not to buy anything for our iftar meal the first of Ramadan this year, both for economic and convenience reason. I cooked "prawn fried rice" and "noodle soup". Cincau and sago in rose syrup for the drink. Alhamdulillah, the simple stuff for a simple family. Along had two small servings of noodle and one small serving of fried rice, angah two small servings of noodle, iesya three small servings of fried rice. Me, fried rice. Baba, two small servings of noodle, can't really go for the fried rice because of his tooth ache.
